As the weather stays more consistently warm we have more growers getting their beet seed into the ground. We were happy to get an email from Dan Oostenbrink at Local Harvest Farm as they got their beet seed in the ground this week. Dan is one of four growers on the Lower Mainland participating in the Trials.

Dan also has a golden beet seed crop in the ground – 900 stecklings which we planted on March 19 of this year. This crop is off to a great start and will be one of the bigger BC vegetable seed crops of 2016.
